SKI INSTRUCTOR FOR DISABLED YOUTH
Ontario Track 3 Ski Association
Craigleith Ski Club, Caledon ON
As a ski instructor for Ontario Track 3 Ski Association, I had the opportunity to help with the physical and social development of youth with disabilities through the sport of skiing. This was a unique opportunity that allowed me to combine my passion for this sport with my desire to improve my adaptive communication skills. It was my involvement with this program that lead me to pursue an undergraduate degree in biomechanical engineering, to be able to further explore the technological innovations of rehabilitative equipment.
