Mechanical Engineering
Queen's University, Kingston ON
My name is Sarah and I am a Mechanical Engineering Graduate currently building and integrating the right technologies needed for my team to master the art of Customer Success at MindBridge. My passions extend beyond my education, as I continue to seek out project opportunities where business innovation and technical design converge. I am recognized by my critical thinking skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and empathetic nature. This benefits me as a designer, team member, and project leader.
As a designer, this helps me embody multiple perspectives when defining the problem at hand. I can predict the behaviours and emotions that result from product interactions, allowing me to design sensibly with each iteration and prepare thorough implementation strategies. I am technical by nature, but value exposure to all aspects of design through multidisciplinary collaboration.
I'm a natural leader and adviser, and therefore enjoy overseeing and contributing ideas to multiple project segments. I am diverse in both my skill set and my interests, thus pursuing a career involving a variety of roles encompassing both technical and business-related aspects.

MindBridge Customer Success TeamÂ
October 2019 - Present | Ottawa ON
Since joining the Customer Success Leadership Program at MindBridge, I've had the opportunity to combine my technical skills with my interests in market implementation by working with end users directly. I quickly took ownership of establishing a data strategy team and focus within Customer Success to target our largest product bottleneck, while keeping our clients satisfied.
Leading data strategy involved hiring the necessary technical talent to give account managers more time to nurture high quality client relationships. As a long-term strategy, I began working with our VP of Development to create an internal automated data transformation software to eventually be integrated into our product.
Throughout this process, I have subsequently helped with the development and implementation of a sustainable support software system using Zendesk. I've implemented workflows that maximize team efficiency and capture support topic patterns for our education and account management teams to take advantage of.

Managing the development of a software that aims to standardize the layout of financial data exports. This software will allow for ERP-agnostic line-by-line processing and analysis of financial data in Ai-driven applications.

Led a hackathon project involving the development of a budget variance software, which aimed to supplement the financial risk assessment process in our core product. Our team won for "Best Cross-Functional Team Collaboration" and had our software considered for future product enhancements.

Worked with a team of multidisciplinary students to evaluate the commercial potential of a patented software technology, developed within the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Queen's University. This led to the formation of my company, Durabyte.

Developed intuitive and desirable mobile applications for a music festival communication platform and a food sustainability venture. User experience was researched and tested throughout the iterative design process, with high fidelity mockups made to showcase the final products.

Worked with a team to improve website content and design to optimize user experience and increase global participation in the One Million Teachers Project, an international social initiative.

Managed a multidisciplinary design project with engineering and occupational therapy students. Our team developed an adjustable and portable assistive seating device for a client with a hip impairment.

Developed a 3D printed interchangeable gearbox for optimizing the speed and torque performance of a motor vehicle model under varying driving conditions.

Assisted in the research and development of an artificial sphincter for biomedical applications as a member of the Queen's Soft Robotics Team.

Continued with the research, manufacturing, and market expansion of the Niagara Foot Project, providing a low cost, low performance prosthetic foot model solution.

Assisted in the design and manufacturing of an inertial sensor clamp and portable walkway with embedded force plates for use in a human gait graduate study.
